Event Porta Potty Rentals Throughout California

A good restroom plan shortens lines, keeps guests comfortable and fits the venue, so the restroom is not what people remember.

Event Rentals overview

Outdoor events here cover a wide range: backyard birthdays, beach cleanups, school carnivals, trail runs, car shows, farmers' markets, company picnics and neighborhood festivals. The goal is always the same: enough units, in the right places, for the whole event.

Four things drive the count: how many guests are on site at once, how long the event runs, whether alcohol is served and whether there is a meal. A four-hour backyard party and an eight-hour tournament with a beer garden are very different loads. Try our calculator and read the unit-count guide before you call.

We will also help you think about delivery timing, accessible units, handwashing and placement relative to parking and food. Public events should read the accessible restroom planning guide, and productions can look at film and production planning.

Good event planning shows up in small choices. Put units where people already walk, near parking, the food line and the main activity, not at the far edge of the grounds. Keep the approach clear of cables and sandwich boards. Put handwashing right beside the units and add a second cluster if the event spreads across a large lot. Ask the venue whether neighbors, noise or sightlines affect where a truck can set up. A short list of those answers makes the call to us quick and productive.

What to consider before you rent

  • Delivery and pickup windows

Units usually arrive before guests do and leave after teardown. Agree on a window you can staff. See delivery and pickup.

  • Venue, park and city rules

Many cities, park agencies and beach managers require a special-event permit and may set restroom expectations. Check early.

  • Spread the load

Two or three clusters usually beat one distant bank. Put units near parking, food and the main activity.

  • Lighting after dark

If guests stay past sunset, plan lighting on or near the units.

  • Neighbors and noise

Early truck arrivals can bother neighbors. Ask about quiet hours and plan delivery accordingly.

  • Accessible routes

If the event is open to the public, plan firm routes and accessible units from the start. See the accessible planning guide.

In California

California conditions to plan for

Event calendars fill fast in the milder months and around holiday weekends, especially along the coast and in wine country. Beach and park venues may have strict access hours and limits on vehicles. Inland, midday heat shapes both the schedule and the shade you will want near the units, and in dry months many venues add wildfire-related restrictions, so confirm your site's rules. A beach or bluff event might be governed by coastal rules and a city or county parks department. A vineyard or orchard party may have septic limits and strict vehicle rules. An urban street fair may depend on temporary closure permits and narrow load-in windows, and a desert event must plan for heat, dust and long approaches. Whatever the setting, ask the land manager or venue what is allowed before you plan your layout.

Event Rentals: common questions

What if my event is on a beach or in a park?

Land managers often have their own rules on vehicles, placement and permits. Check with them first, then tell us the details when you call.

Should I put units near the food?

Keep them on a visible, lit path but away from serving and dining areas, and put handwashing nearby.

How early should I call?

As soon as you have a date, particularly for weekends between spring and fall. We will tell you what is possible.

Who looks after units during the event?

Typically the renter is asked to keep units clear of damage and prohibited items. Terms are confirmed when you call for a quote.

Can I rent units for a recurring weekly event?

Yes, recurring arrangements are possible. Describe the schedule and site, and we will talk through delivery, servicing and pickup.

Who should I tell about unit placement, the venue or the city?

Usually both, if a permit is involved. Confirm with the venue or permit office, then tell us the final spot and route when you call.
